Demon Dance Co. is run by John & Irene Porterfield.

Originally from Edinburgh, but now based in West Lothian, they have been dancing for over 10 years, and have tried their hand at various different styles, including LeRoc, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Latin & Ballroom & Argentine Tango.

They have been running dance events in edinburgh Since 2002 , including Route 66 and Friday Night Hop. They have been running Inferno LeRoc nights in Edinburgh since March 2008, and Red Hot & Blue, a dedicated blues night for over 5 yearsThey also run the fantastic Hogmanay Ball at portobello Town Hall every year.
Their love of dance shines through in every event they run, and you are always assured of a warm welcome.

John is also well known as one of the top Modern Jive & Blues Room DJs in the UK under the name DANCE DEMON. He has DJd for most of the top UK dance organisations, including Jive Addiction, Rock Bottoms, Achance2dance, Swingtastic, Chilled Sunday, Sara White's jive Nights, Stokies Pure Blues amongst others. Often refered to as the Godfather of Blues Room DJs, he is equally at home playing up tempo main room, latin, or West Coast Swing sets.
