Demon Dance Co is run by John & Irene Porterfield.  John & Irene have been dancing for over 20 years and have tried many different dance styles, from Modern Jive, Lindy Hop, Blues, West Coast Swing, Latin, Ballroom and Argentine Tango. They have been running dance events in Edinburgh and Central Scotland since 2002 when they started Route 66 in the Westfield Halls, in Edinburgh.

Since then they have run many different dance nights, including Red Hot & Blue, Inferno, LeRoc, the Soul Lounge and Alt Tango Edinburgh. They also run Scotland's biggest two room freestyles at The Glen Pavilion in  Dunfermline, where they also run an annual Christmas Charity Ball called "Jive Aid” raising funds for local charities.

John is also well renowned as a one of the UK’s top DJs and has been part of the DJ team at many weekenders and dance events all over the UK. He's equally at home playing top notch sets in a main modern jive room, late night blues rooms or Alt Tango Milonga.
